Friday morning I wake up to the striking knowledge that I'm running my first ever Gary Con game! Here we go you noble Sons of Mandalore!
MU Skulls Friday!
Next stop was on to the Interplanar Melee by the great Zeb Cook! My plucky group of Nazis using Boot Hill Rules was going to fight denizens such as Godzilla, Mecha-Godzilla, Pirates of the Caribbean, Evil DnD adventurers, and a Red Dragon (which I killed) and Basilisk with some dumb giants (which I killed).
Here's the thing, you are only going to get this kind of action at Gary Con as run by Zeb Cook! Mike's psycho Pirates were on the other side of the table doing who knows what.

Zeb was signing army sheet autographs as we wrapped up. In the end there were no clear victors. The Nazi's tank had a heat metal spell cast on it, or we were close to marching to victory. At least we killed the red dragon...
Mike and I had been talking about this event for weeks, no, months. It was a battle from the Arab Israeli Wars and we had a solid plan and/or strategy! It was based in large part, on a strategy my friend Clay and I used many years ago at Origins when we fought a First Iraq War battle for the airport. The rules set was Tractix a favorite of Gary's that I was glad I didn't have to actually know because the things was a collection of sub referencing charts based on gun size and armor thickness and angle of trajectory.

The Saturday Night Main Event!
I don't know how long it took to set up this game but they had provisions from the Swiss.

Mike and I with the juice of the black cup, scheming to ensure the victory of our arab brothers!

The registered defeat on the faces of our foes as the tank the had to get into town to declare victory was stopped by my tank gun blast and the crew was set on fire. While some screamed the victory was narrow others decried about reinforcements. None could deny it was an exciting battle and Mike and I had a new Battle Brother in our Commander Anthony, and we vowed to fight by his side again!
While at the bar celebrating, we ran into our good friend and celebrity Bob Brinkman! He wrangled Mike into playing a live NPC in his Call of Cthulhu game in the morning and I was stunned with envy but I was running my own game so there was no chance for me. That's what makes Gary Con such an amazing special event. It's so much easier to run into your friends here.

The action was savage and the noble sons prevailed! They returned to Mandalore proper heroes!
