This is a picture from Grandcon but once again
I used my battery supply at U Con as there was
not a nearby outlet. The little champ didn't let
me down.

My Sons of Mandalore Star Wars game went
really well (especially since it was a playtest)
and was well received. I'd post a picture but no
spoilers for Gary Con.

A player said he hadn't played before so he
listened to a podcast of Edge of the Empire to
get ready for the game. He said the game he
was a little worried the game wouldn't hold up
to the podcast but after playing said he thought
it was even better than the podcast game! Very
much appreciate the kind words and the praise
was humbling.
The MU Skulls arch-rivals We Hate Bards
were here as well.

Likely they would bring their giant library of
a thousand and one games flexing their
awesome gaming presence. I girded my
loins multiple times and dared to glance into
the room through a tiny hole poked through
an event ticket...
OK, well not too worried about a milk crate
of folders and a couple of coffee makers. I
think I got this covered going MU Skulls
solo this year.

How the mighty bard has fallen from the
glory days of yore.
Wheeled out of a snowstorm in my hometown
to just a little bit of snow in Ypsilanti, MI for U
Con 2018!

Registration was very well run and went
quickly. I liked the facility but navigation does
take some getting used to. It's a U shape that I
never really seemed to be able to get my
bearings around.

My wing-unicorn and I ate some hamburgers
that were not bad at the hotel restaurant and we
were ready to get some gaming in!

Here's the view from the palatial hotel room!

Here we are with the seven chests of doom!

My buddy Nate scored me a ticket to a DnD
Amorphous Blob game run by Alex. He runs
a great game. This was some old school
trapped rooms with monsters and a great
time. He does a great job of pacing and I
never felt like there was downtime and
nothing was frustrating. I was a 14th level
Ninja!

Turns out Alex also happened to be running
some other games and had a prop handy...
Checkout this prop Necronomicon as an amazing Evil Dead Replica! Right down to the ear on the back of the book!

Got to meet up with some more friends I didn't even know where going to be at U Con. So we hung out at Midnight at the bar with
a Necronomicon. Pretty much a perfect end to the evening...
So I was only able to hangout at U Con on Friday as I had to hit up GR
Comicon on Saturday so this was a whirlwind trip for me this year but
I'm planning on multiple days next year. This is a really well run game
convention and I had a great experience!
