| David, Mike, Kevin, and I embarked on a mad Saturday at Grandcon 2014. Beginning with Shaintar, we played in Bret's game. He did a very nice job and I recommend his game. Lawful good orcs as a PC choice take some getting used to for me so I probably won't invest in the system but if you're looking for something a little different I suggest you check this out. We had a late lunch at the Qudoba across the street and from there we went to play The Strange with a fellow from the Monte Cook Games Asset Team. I knew nothing about the system and since it's a pretty rules light game I had little trouble picking that up. Here's a picture of Mike and I trying to solve an extra-dimensional mystery! We had a beer or two at the Hyatt bar and then finished off the night with a four person game of Small World. Then most of us were starving and some of us tired and we broke up somewhere around midnight. A good time was had by all! I'll be back next year like running some Call of Cthulhu... Or something. |
