Friday night is reserved for the MU Skulls Madness games. In 2009 we retained the three groups and once again there was very positive feedback. Rob, Marc, and David are excellent GMs. Their ability to improvise and their focus on the players contributions to the story are really amazing. Its great to try something like this at Gen Con as a gaming experience as your unlikely to be able to recreate this at home. |
Friday Night Madness |
Mike and I got right after it again this year with two games each on Thursday. I think we hit our stride with running two games a day, afternoon and evening. The days of three games a day are behind us. It seems like the convention just goes by too fast anymore and I never get to spend as much time with everyone as I'd like. |
Let The Games Begin |
This year I went with a more modest set-up. After bringing the entire castle for my Army of Darkness inspired game and the near disaster that went with hauling a huge castle and 60 lbs of lead miniatures past the stadium opening, I throttled back and went digital. I used a tiny net-book computer behind the screen, invisible to players, and a flat panel monitor for visual aids. The combat was tracked on Dunjinni maps. I had very positive feedback. |
Everyone was running games by Saturday and the MU Skulls were secreted in the dark corner of the Hyatt. |
