I made it to the premier game convention in Halifax, Nova Scotia to run Call of Cthulhu 7th ed. The CIA Wolfram Field Test but online of course! Really liked working with the staff, they were quick to approve my event and had excellent email communication. There weren't many events scheduled so their weren't many players in general but I managed to snag a couple of players for my game. With the small group I borrowed some comments MU Skulls David made about focusing on the PCs more with small groups and I think that turned out to be really effective. For a typical convention group I'd say we got off plot but with the small group it allowed for some real individual story development. Very rewarding for all. I was hoping to play in another game but I got kidnapped by in-laws holiday family time and had to bail early. Looking forward to the post holiday season when I'm not juggling so many events and the winter wasteland limits activities making convention scheduling much easier! |
